1865 McKean and Elk Land Improvement Company Stock Certificate
Important early Pennsylvania land improvement company. The company was chartered by the State to develop the area between Erie, PA and Philadelphia in the area of modern day Kane, PA. The original land was surveyed by General Thomas L. Kane, whom it is named after. Fantastic stock with 6 vignettes. R44c Civil War revenue stamp on front.
