    Description

For bid is an original PAIR of 1955-1963 United States military insignia pins in the shape of a Cambodian building with three towers: "US MAAG CAMBODIA" at the bottom of each pin.  They appear to be silver, possibly sterling.  They do not attract to a magnet, but they are not hallmarked.  The MAAG was the Military Assistance Advisory Group.  It was a military group tasked with educating other countries in military activities, fighting, strategy, etc.  The Cambodia branch of the group existed for less than 10 years: 1955 to 1963.  Cambodia cancelled its military aid from the United States on November 20, 1963 (just a few days before JFK was assassinated).
These pins are in very good condition.  The fronts were polished awhile ago but the backs appear to have never been polished.  They have rainbow tarnish.  These appear to be uniform collar insignia
