Total lot of 37 mixed cabs. Much collected in US, in particular Western US, Oregon Washington, Montana, Arizona Colorado etc. To start: 4 nice Australian opal cabs totaling 8.5 carats that all have very nice color, two have excellent color. These were all cut back in the 90s, and the problem with opal is that over time it will dry out and craze, or get tiny little internal cracks. So all of these if you look really close under magnification you can make out a small craze. These are tiny and really difficult to find on the two smaller opals with the best color, and the largest cab is also difficult to find them, I can't see them without magnification. The point here is that there are four nice opals suitable for jewelry but they have minor flaws.Along with the opal cabs, there are 4 nice turquoise cabs, 3 excellent and large crazy lace agate cabs, 2 orange carnelian agate cabs, 3 azurite cabs, 2 sodalite cabs, 4 jasper cabs including two matched pairs, 4 other agate cabs including a Montana Agate and a Fire Agate, one sugilite, one large blue sapphire cab that weighs 23.5 carats, a ruby cab weighing 1.15 ct, 4 malachite cabs, one chrysocolla cab, one chlorastrolite, one Biggs Jasper, one dendritic agate cab, and one I have no idea on today, just forgot, we will call it a freebie. If I sold these individually I would expect to easily get at least 0 for this group, seriously there is some good stuff here! These are all good quality cabochons and ready to go into jewelry or used in art work. Long ago when I planned to do this I had more energy lol These were all done by an old school man in Oregon.
The largest cab measures 30 x 23 mm and is one of the crazy lace agates, the smallest is the ruby and that measures 7 x 5 mm. They come mounted in 1.5x 3/4 inch round, foam filled plastic gemstone cases and I will ship insured USPS flat rate.
