These four blocks of raw, natural black glass were found in the Sierra Nevada mountains of California. Having a combined weight of 7 pounds, this is a great opportunity for someone looking for a obsidian display pieces or those that may want to split the stones into pieces small enough to tumble or use in another craft.
Though not arranged in snowflake patterns, spherulites are present throughout the obsidian. These small white spots add another interesting dimension to the stones. Banding can also be seen in two of the stones.
The largest piece measures 6 X 4-1/2 X 2 inches, with the smallest being 4 X 3 X 1-1/2 inches.
