    Description

Here we have a wonderful pair of vintage AKRON 1.5" Fog Nozzle firefighter brass sprayers. You are buying the pair of nozzles as bookends.    They are in great condition for their age and have all their parts in working order including the 3 way handles.   The only missing component I can find is the safety chain on one of the HV15 nozzles that prevents loss of the cap.   The nozzles measure 10" tall x 3.5" diameter.   With handle extended and attached book plate it measures 13" long.  I do not know the age of these pieces but will provide all the inscriptions on the piece to help you identify it.   The two nozzles together weigh approximately 20 pounds for shipping purposes.
On the 8 sided threaded base there are two sets of numbers: 2069  and 2032.
On the handle it reads on one side, AKRON  SHUT and 3498/0.  On the reverse it reads  OPEN  11/2 FOG NOZZLE and C174D2.
On the main body it reads SHUT FOG OPEN With arrows showing direction for shut and open and C164D1 on one.
On the attached removable nozzle sprayer it reads  HV 15
If you have any additional information on these I would welcome your input.  The base plates for the bookends are affixed with two small nuts and bolts that pass through a brass threaded insert that feeds into the bottom of the nozzle so that it can be removed should the nozzle be used on a hose.
