This label on this versatile device says "Speedo Corrector", but it does much more than speedometers! It can trim or convert any signal of 18V or less, from 2- or 3-wire VSS's or crank sensors to alternator W and R terminals. Using the included protection resistors it can directly tap 100V alternator phase wires, and "on the fly" programming allows easy trimming of alternator-driven tachos with the engine running. Precise 1/2% resolution across most of the range makes matching "oddball" ratios from belt-drive alternators a snap, and internal 4-averaging gives a steady signal even from bouncy brush alternators or asymmetric cam sensors. The hookup is 4 simple wires (power, ground, signal and output) using .25" fastons from any parts store. The buttons and display are waterproof and the device can stand 225 degF, so it's as comfortable living in your engine box as under your dash. The package comes with full instructions, easy-to-read labels, and trimming/filtering/pullup resistors in case you need them. It also comes with
free email tech support
and a 90-day replace-or-refund warranty (don't smash it, of course, but we ask few other questions).
NEW - We now offer power supply noise filters (condensers) as a courtesy to our customers. Shipping is free (refunded) when purchased with any Widget Man adaptor or converter. See listing# 143562430919.
NOTE: Units may come with clear potting (shown) or black, and may have a black LED background (shown) or gray. There is no functional difference and the unit shipped to you may be either color.
