Condition: Lot is in overall good antique condition. Corner of door was glued due to warpage. Cabinet has some damage to the finish. Cabinet exterior has some dents, scratches, chips, etc. Door hinges are a little loose. Book has some tearing to some of the pages, yet appears complete. Some items have been waxed to conserve items and finish. Wax is archival quality and fully removable. There has been no effort to hide or conceal any conservation methods, damage, and/or repairs. Description

Beautiful antique circa 1897-1910 Catholic Anchor Silver Plate Co. Viaticum Cabinet and Home Altar. The cabinet features great box jointed corners and silver crosses on the doors. Purple velver interior. This altar is an incomplete set, yet beautiful, with some very rare accessories. These items were found within this box, and assuming all are original and/or of the same time period.
This LOT contains:
1 Wood Viaticum Cabinet/House Altar
1 Silver Plate (guessing plated or not sterling, holds absorbent cotton and/or salt or bread crumbs)
1 Absorbent cotton (used by the priest after anointing the person)
1 Cup (Silver cup, gold-lined to serve for the ablution of the priest's fingers after contact with the sacred host)
1 Corkscrew
1 Instruction manual (Viaticum Cabinet)
Box is roughly 12 inches length x 6.5-7 inches wide x 14.5 inches height
I also do conservation and restoration work if there is anything else you would like done to the cabinet.
