Crayfish are freshwater crustaceans resembling small lobsters. In some parts of the United States,
they are also known as crawfish, craydids, crawdaddies, crawdads, freshwater lobsters, mountain
lobsters, mudbugs, or yabbies. Taxonomically, they are members of the superfamilies Astacoidea
and Parastacoidea.
