Derek Jeter Autographed Bat Black Louisville Slugger P72 COA Steiner Sports

Bat model is a black P72 Louisville Slugger.
This bat was purchase sometime between 1998 and 2001, I cannot remember.
This was my first autograph purchase, and because I didn't know any better, I removed the certifying hologram which was located next to the autograph. It didn't peel off like a sticker though, like I thought. When I tried to peel it, only the top layer of plastic came off.  Below that, the hologram just became smeared, so I had to really try to rub it off to completely remove it.
This is a protective mechanism so that you cannot just peel them off and stick them on another bat. That is, the identifying hologram becomes destroyed if you try to remove it. Pretty cool actually.  I'm not sure if this reduced the value of the bat, however.
