Hamburg Amerika's OCEANA of 1927 (ex-SIERRA SALVADA) - see postmark!

Description

A superb port side view - razor sharp and clear - on a sepia-toned postcard of the Hamburg Amerika Line's white-hulled OCEANA of 1927 under way in Hamburg harbor.  She was originally built in 1913 as SIERRA SALVADA for the North German Lloyd.  She would be transferred to the state-controlled KdF in 1934.  Of interest is the KdF postmark, posted on board the ship and dated 1937.
NOTE: We are listing one lot of this ship in an earlier career as PEER GYNT (1924) for the Victor Schuppe Ltd.
This lovely postcard is in very good condition.
