The icon depicts the Child seated on the Virgin Mary’s left arm and a stalk of a white lily in her right hand. The icon was kept in the Pokrov Monastery of Voronezh. The flower is symbolic of the unfading bloom of virginity.
An Icon is a very high quality print that is inlaid on the wood lid with gold and silver foil.
Gold and silver foils are used during the printing process and made bright embossed golden and silver foil ornamentation.
The icon on the lid originates from the province of Moscow, Russia and is blessed by the church.
The box measures 2 ¼'' L x 2 ¼'' W x 1''H
