MOCK TURTLE AND GRYPHON DANCE LOBSTER QUADRILLE ALICE IN WONDERLAND LEWIS
The Mock Turtle and the Gryphon dance to the Lobster Quadrille, while Alice recites (rather
incorrectly) "'Tis the Voice of the Lobster". The Mock Turtle sings them "Beautiful Soup"
during which the Gryphon drags Alice away for an impending trial.

Adventures in Wonderland (1865) and its sequel, Through the Looking-Glass (1871).
A child in the mid-Victorian era, Alice unintentionally goes on an underground adventure
after accidentally falling down a rabbit hole into Wonderland; in the sequel, she steps
through a mirror into an alternative world.
