Description
These are ORIGINAL sterling silver "jump" wings or "parachute qualification badge" awarded to U.S. Army paratroopers upon the completion of their fifth parachute "jump" in training in WWII to date. I purchased these wings at Jeff Sharp's Buena Park, CA militaria show back on October 5, 1991.  These wings were likely the "issue wings", rather than private-purchase wings, since they do not have the hallmark of the usual private manufacturers. The wings are marked below the clutch back pins with "HLP G.I." (Lordship Industries aka "His Lordship Products", the manufacturer) and "1/20 S. F." (1/20 silver filled). Several online sources indicate that these government-mandated markings were likely after 1965. The wings are in VERY GOOD condition, with virtually no wear. Here's an opportunity for the airborne collector or Viet Nam re-enactor to obtain a nice set of wings for the collection or impression. The buyer will have my usual unconditional guarantee of authenticity and a five-day (
