Description
These are "jump" wings or "parachute qualification badge" awarded to U.S. Army paratroopers upon the completion of their fifth parachute "jump" in training in WWII to date.  These wings were likely not the "issue wings" or private-purchase wings, since they have neither the government-mandated markings or the hallmark of the usual private manufacturers. The wings are in VERY GOOD condition, with no wear.  They apparently aren't sterling silver or silver-filled, since there are no markings of the usual type on the back (pewter?). Here's an opportunity for the Viet Nam re-enactor to obtain a nice set of wings for his impression at a modest cost. The buyer will have my usual unconditional guarantee of satisfaction and a five-day (
