The Tascam LA-80MKII is an 8-channel unbalanced to balanced balun converter and line amplifier that can distribute unbalanced input signals and output balanced signals. It's designed for studios, live installations, and mobile production systems where balanced and unbalanced equipment need to be connected. The LA-80MKII has an Audio Distributed Amplifier (ADA) function, a ±12dB trim control, and a signal present LED. All eight channels can be used independently or a single input can be routed to multiple outputs using the "input link" switches. Each channel has an INPUT/OUTPUT LEVEL switch that allows input and output levels to be switched between -20 dBu and +4 dBu. The GND LIFT switches turn the ground ON and OFF
for each balanced connector and the ALL LIFT switch turns the ground ON and OFF for the entire unit. It has level indicator LEDs that show signal presence, and semi-fixed TRIM controls for fine level adjustment
