    This pin only lists the Army and Air Force Branches. All pins/patches found for comparison include the Marines and Navy. The program's name was changed to the Military Affiliate Radio System on 2 September 1952. Eventually, the Navy-Marine Corps MARS program was established officially on 17 August 1962, and began operations on 1 January 1963. Since this button only includes the Army and Air Force Branches unlike all of the other buttons and patches currently on the market, it would age this piece between 1952-1963.
