Vietnan War "Trenched" Sterling Silver Modified Paratrooper Wings / Badge. Somewhat of an interesting example of this badge. It has been trenched and vaulted. This was commonly done in theater for combat uniforms and also by certain units for there dress uniform. While an unofficial modification it was a popular one. Bascially they polished off the design leaving a rough 3D ome surface design then they slightly bent the with a small punch to add an extra affect. These are surpsingly very tough to find and the tradition goes all the way back to WW2. Overall a very unique and interesting design. You know this was worn and carried by a vietnam veteran and isnt just surplus. If this piece could talk. Very desirable example of a neat badge.
