Here is an
Old Veteran Cairns & Bros. Fire Helmet
in battle hardened used condition as found and pictured.
Helmet manufactured with ribbed aluminum construction is a survivor from the 40s-50s.
Please note: some losses to black paint, with some red showing in places presumably from underneath. There is no hat badge, eagle finial or hat liner as found and probably long gone. No maker's mark observed, design seems distinct to Cairns.
