Here we have a very nice vintage Chicago  fire hose
play-pipe
, marked "W. D. Allen Mfg. Co. Chicago, IL". Circa mid 1930's-1950's.
Features what appears to be a rope wrapped brass construction with fireman two handles for a solid grip...
This piece is estate found. Being sold as-found. It is an vintage, and as such it has the usual wear throughout that gives the piece its antique character and visually confirms its age. There is some ding,dangs & dents near the base, but overall looks great. A nice cleaning will have this piece looking even better or leave the age patina look... Being sold exactly as pictured.
Measures approximately 25 1/4" long x 7 3/4" wide. Approx. 3" diameter opening at base, and approx. 2 1/4" diameter opening at tip.
