Purchased at a recent estate sale, this home shrine is “fresh to the market”. The solid oak case has a very light “blond” finish to match the Haywood Wakefield furniture of the late 1940’s and 50’s.
The Jesus figure looks to me to be hand painted, and, the small chip on his hair reveals a silver color underneath the paint which leads me to believe it is made of cast metaL. I think the thin ivory color strips are made of celluloid and are patterned to look like Mother of Pearl MOP.
The instruction sheet is printed in English on one side and French on the other side. It was folded up and stored under the original wrapped candles. It has some stains from the candle wax and some rips on edge of the fold. It is very fragile. The water bottle is perfect, clear, with no staIns and appears to be unused, like the candles.
It measures 15 1/2 inches high , 9 1/2 inches wide, and 3 1/2 inches deep (including Jesus figure). The back has a slot cut into the oak for easy hanging with one screw in the wall.
See “CONDITION “ part of the listing and examine/enlarge the photos .

Sorry about any state sales tax but eBay automatically collects any sales tax and submits it to the appropriate State’ coffers. It does not show up in my account and I have nothing to do with it. Circumstances beyond my control. However, if you are a “dealer” with a resale tax #, you can apply to eBay to be exempt from paying sales tax. Thanks for looking and reading !
